Personal Hygiene
Personal hygiene plays a big role in diaper training. A diaper is
essentially a plastic bag wrapped around your groin that holds in urine,
sweat, and other liquids and solids. With enough friction, heat, and
time, you’ll find that it’s easy to get a diaper rash, a skin infection, or
some sort of other medical condition. You can avoid all of this by
practicing good hygiene. This includes showering in the morning after
you wake up, showering at night before you put on your bedtime diaper,
trimming all the hair in your diaper area, and more.
You’ll need to get rid of all the hair on your groin, butt, in between your
butt cheeks, and upper legs. A decent electric razor will make this
process simple. This ensures that the odors won’t stick around and it
makes things a lot easier to clean in between changes. I do not
recommend using any sort of hair removal creams at all, especially
around your genitals. Instead of those, I recommend taking some time
to intimately care for yourself. Make a new routine where you include
other self-care activities, like taking care of your skin with new
moisturizers, facial masks, and other related activities.
When you walk around in your diaper, your sensitive inner legs rub
against it, creating friction and heat. A light spritzing of baby powder
on the inside of the diaper, followed by rubbing a little bit of baby
powder on the inside of your legs where the diaper touches will help
keep your skin dry and free of excess liquids. You can avoid diaper rash
by keeping the area clean and dry as much as you can. Wearing high
quality diapers will help with this.
Gently clean your diaper area with baby or adult wipes, then pat the
skin dry rather than rubbing. If you’re still new to wearing diapers 24/7,
